Sarah Underwood, LMSW-CC

Sarah graduated from the University of Southern Maine with a Master’s degree in Social Work and currently holds a conditional clinical license.

Sarah has spent the last five years working with adolescents on an inpatient psychiatric unit at Spring Harbor Hospital where she utilizes DBT informed interventions and practices. Sarah has experience working with adolescents and young adults facing issues with depression, anxiety, substance abuse, and negative thought patterns or beliefs.

Sarah enjoys the use of creativity and self expression as part of the therapeutic process to help individuals gain a greater awareness of feeling states, thought patterns, and personal strengths. She believes that her role as a clinician is to provide a safe space to explore our unique life experiences, how they affect us, and how we can heal and grow.
