Riley received her Masters Degree in Social Work (MSW) from the University of Southern Maine and currently holds a conditional clinical license (LMSW-cc).
Prior to this she received her Bachelor of Social Work Degree and interned in the advocacy department at Preble Street. There she community organized, aided in voter registration, and advocated around issues of homelessness, poverty, and hunger.
After graduation she worked at a local behavioral health agency and provided case management services to adults. Riley completed her internship here at Island Institute for Trauma Recovery where she learned the importance of the mind and body connection in understanding and treating trauma.
Riley brings a client centered approach to therapy and works along clients to develop their goals. Riley believes in the power of relationship in the therapeutic process and aims to prioritize this. Riley brings strengths based and trauma informed perspectives into therapy.
Riley has experience working with an array of diagnoses and adults impacted by grief, substance use, anxiety, and trauma.
