My approach to therapy is first and foremost, to listen. From here I work alongside my clients to develop a safe and trusting relationship that gives room to explore parts of ourselves that can sometimes be most difficult to access. To do this I work holistically and incorporate mind, body, emotions, and religious/spiritual beliefs. I believe that with greater self-awareness, choices we have in our lives become more obtainable.
My training includes Gestalt Therapy with an emphasis on attachment theory, somatic experiencing, Internal Family Systems, psychodynamic theories, meditative practices, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I am currently training in Equine-assisted psychotherapy at the Gestalt Equine Institute of the Rockies (http://www.gestaltequineinstitute.com/)
I currently accept Mainecare and private pay. sliding scale is available.
