It is important to find a therapist who you feel is a good fit. Therapy can elicit uncomfortable experiences and finding someone who you are willing to share these experiences with is an important decision. I believe that through exploration of our past and present relationships, individuals can develop self-awareness, create change, and find more choice in how they live their life. My clinical experience includes attachment issues, trauma, anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive behaviors, conflict in relationship, and anger.
At best, I am an experiential therapist where clients can deepen into their experience, make contact with lost or buried pieces, and develop a deeper self-knowing. I am trauma-informed and use relational, somatic experiencing, sensorimotor psychotherapy, and psychoeducation to help clients on their path of greater inner knowing.
I received my MSW from Smith College School for Social work and am a graduate of the Gestalt Institute of the Rockies (GIR) which lay the foundation of my practice. My practice experience includes wilderness, residential, and community-based treatment programs. I am currently completing a certification in Gestalt Equine Psychotherapy.
I currently accept Mainecare and private pay. sliding scale is available.
